The 1994 Longboard Malibu surfing contest was sponsored by Oxbow, an action sports brand in France. A surfer friend told me about the poster contest. I submitted and won. The red background glyphs are Chumash native american. The head of my longboarder symbol is derived from the one of those glyphs. The word Malibu is Chumash in origin. The art was created in an early vector drawing program called Freehand. These posters were printed in France. The image size is 28"x16" on a white sheet that measures 36"x24" — This print is NOT FRAMED.
